A prostitute is described as promiscuous and that fits the compromised church of today. Ultimately, I think of the prostitute church as a substitute for the real church with idolatry. The Roman Catholic Church has been a substitute for the real church for over 1500 years. They have prostituted even the name of Christ and substituted "Mother Mary" as a divine. They have perverted the cause and purpose of tithing making it commercial and profitable. The churches at large today have no real answers to our crisis or any vision of the future. Bible scholars and prophecy interpreters including Martin Luther have long pointed to the Pope and the Catholic Church as the fulfillment of Mystery Babylon the great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth".
