February 04, 2012 journal, Book of Enoch chapter 4 describing the sun heat of the earth from the sun that God created as one of the two great lights in Genesis. Thank God for the sun that shines all of us and grows our plants and he passed the earth to keep us from freezing to death as all life would freeze to death without the sun shining to balance the temperature and to make it comfortable for us to live in peace and to serve the Lord. Enoch CHAPTER IV. "And again, observe ye the days of summer how the sun is above the earth over against it. And you seek shade and shelter by reason of the heat of the sun, and the earth also burns with growing heat, and so you cannot tread on the earth, or on a rock by reason of its heat." I cannot imagine an unbeliever in God the creator considering the vast complexity of his vast creation. It is surely more than any human mind could ever conceive of at least. Do the people of God sin? Yes they do and God forgives that sin to a point of willful sin. Return or come to the altar of prayer and repentance for mercy sake and for our own sake. All things go through God Almighty going and coming but we get ourselves waylaid into Satan's camp both spiritually & physically. Set us free Lord to live and serve Thee always. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3GMDcFOq0Windows Live(tm) "Geetings Corey, A comment or two concerning the Jews keeping "the LAW of God". I was always very confused that Jesus would call the Pharisees "hypocrites" for desiring to keep the same LAW that he kept perfectly. This in fact would be a hypocritical position In fact God commands that his LAW be kept. After years of confusion I stumbled across the fact that the Pharisees did not keep the LAW of God. The law they kept was the "oral law" also called the "Tradition of the Elders". It was this twisted perversion of the Torah that Christ was at war against. Hopefully, you know this but 97% of Christians do not. The "tradition of the Elders" was a result of interpreting the Torah through "Cabala". "Cabala" is defined by Webster's 1828 dictionary as "Tradition, or mysterious kind of science among Jewish Rabbis, pretended to have been delivered to the ancient Jews by revelation, and transmitted by oral tradition; serving for the interpretation of difficult passages of scripture. The science consists chiefly in understanding the combination of certain letters, words and numbers, which are alleged to be significant. Every letter, word, number and accent of the law is supposed to contain a mystery, and the cabalists pretended even to foretell future events by the study of this science." When Jesus says "you have heard it said" (Mat 5) he is not referring to the Torah, he is referring to the "oral tradition". The "oral tradition" was codified roughly speaking between 200 and 500 A.D. into the Talmud. The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia states "The Jewish religion as it is today traces its descent, without a break, through all the centuries, from the Pharisees. Theirs leading ideas and methods found expression in a literature of enormous extent, of which a very great deal is still in existence. The Talmud is the largest and most important single member of that literature." A few examples of the Talmud ("tradition of the Elders) are: "If one commits sodomy with a child of less than nine years, no guilt is incurred" Sanhedrin 54b "One who curses his parents isn't punished unless he curses them by Divine name" Sanhedrin 66a "One can revile the Divine Name if mentally applying it to some other object" Sanhedrin 65a-b "One may declare; "Every vow which I may make in the future shall be null" Nedarim 23a-23b "A harlot's hire is permitted, for what the woman received is legally a gift". Abodah Zarah 62b-63a "Women having intercourse with a beast can marry a priest, the act is but a mere wound". Yebamoth 59b. As you can see from these examples the Pharisees took great license with their interpretations of the law, each twisted interpretation building upon the last. This is origin of "case law". After years of interpretation the application was far from the original law. According to the Jewish Scholar Bernard Lazare, "It was the Jews who originated biblical exegesis". Another important point to understand is that the Pharisees were dominated by Edomites also known in the Greek as Idumeans. Edom, a kingdom next to Israel, had been conquered and converted to "Judaism" around 200 B.C. When Rome conquered Palestine they installed Herod, an Edomite, as king. The Edomite Pharisees were basically his lackeys. They hijacked "Judaism". This brought to center stage the old feud between Jacob Israel (the loved of God) and Esau Edom (the hated of God). It is into the "perfect storm" that Yasuha the Christ was born. As a result a war between the "WORD of God" and the "Tradition of the elders" was initiated. Since Edom "lives by the sword" (Gen 27:40), the imposter Herod's first act was to murder all the children in Bethlehem. The last act of "his story" is foretold in Revelation 19, Isaiah 63:1-6, Psalms 2, Psalms 110, Psalms 83, etc... and is best summarized by the Prophet Obadiah 18 when he states "there shall not be any of the house of Esau remaining for the LORD hath spoken it". It is Christianity that holds to the true interpretation of the LAW of God, not Judaism. Christianity predates Judaism and thus the term Judeo-Christianity is a misnomer. As an example, when the Pharisees "tempted" Jesus by producing a woman "caught in the very act" of adultery (John 8), his response was according to the LAW. The LAW requires two or three witnesses to put anyone to death (Duet 17:6). The Pharisees were the witnesses. The LAW requires that "the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely die" (Lev 20:10, Duet 22:22). She was caught in the act. Where was the adulterer? Where was the woman's husband who should have been party to the charges? The LAW requires the witnesses to cast the first stone (Duet 17:7). What did Christ stoop down and write in the dirt? Was it the names of the Pharisees? Were they in fact the missing adulterers? Did the Pharisees plan to discredit Christ and eliminate a witness to their adulterous affairs? Sounds like modern day politics doesn't it. Christ instructed the witnesses to cast the first stone as required by the LAW (Duet 17:7). Whatever he wrote in the sand the scriptures does not say but when he looked up there were no "witnesses" left. No accusers, no prosecution. Christ, the judge, executed the LAW perfectly. Paul defines "loving another" in Romans 13:8-10 as keeping the last five commandments of the LAW. "Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling (keeping) of the law". John tells us that keeping Gods commandments reflects our salvation. "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous." (1 John 5:2-3) Keeping his commandments does not merit our "salvation", it simply reflects it. "Hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him". (1 John 2:3-4). Is it "self-righteous" not to steal?, not to murder? not to covet? not commit adultery? This is our expected service. Can I love a man if I am stealing from him? Until we acknowledge these things as wrong we cannot begin to change our heart. "But whoso keepeth the word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself to walk, even as he walked." (1 John 2:5-6). WWJD? Keep the LAW perfectly. With man this is impossible but our desire should be "to walk as he walked" Thanks for listening. This ran a little longer than I had planned. I am sure many folks are confused because they do not recognize the difference between "traditions of the Elders" and the LAW of God." In Christ Gregg
