June 23, 2012 journal, Hope Dies at Guantanamo by Marjorie Cohn, The Jurist, I quote this Liberal source of independent news because I happen to agree with what they say in this case. "Of the 800 men and boys still held at Guantanamo since 2002, 169 remain. Of those prisoners, 87 have had their release approved by military review boards established during the Bush administration, and later by the Guantanamo Review Task Force that was established by President Oboma in 2009. Yet they continue to languish in the g-mo prison camp." It does seem that this president is actually a clone of Dick Cheney administration. That is because the same obscure Rulers of Evil are behind the scenes pulling the strings. Mr. O should have checked with his con-trollers before he promised to close Guantanamo Bay torture and execution prison on the tip of the island of Cuba which is a Cheney vice. I'll agree with this-Germany Swaps Nuclear for Solar and Wind Power Oliver Lazenby, Yes! Magazine: "Germany, the world's most aggressive adopter of renewable energy, is taking a bold leap toward a future free from nuclear energy.... Last year, in response to the disaster at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, Chancellor Angela Merkel announced a plan to close down all 17 of Germany's nuclear reactors and replace them with renewable energy, mostly solar and wind power." From Agent Orange to "Kill Lists": "Brilliant" Psy-Ops Become the News John Pilger, Truthout: "In 1970, a US Senate report revealed that 'the US has dumped [on South Vietnam] a quantity of toxic chemical amounting to six pounds per head of population, including woman and children.' The code name for this weapon of mass destruction, Operation Hades, was changed to the friendlier Operation Ranch Hand. Today, an estimated 4.8 million victims of Agent Orange are children." I think Governor Brewer is a weapon of mass destruction - Tom Horne, Death Threats and the US Constitution. Roberto Cintli Rodriguez, Truthout: "In 2010, the anti-ethnic studies bill HB 2281 was signed by Gov. Jan Brewer. In 2012, under threat of the loss of 10 percent of the district's annual budget, Tucson Unified School District dismantled the [Mexican-American studies] MAS department. Despite this, the battle is not over as there are a number of legal issues and court cases still to be litigated. In the meantime, much hate has been unleashed, including death threats." Peter Eavis and Susanne Craig, The New York Times News Service: "Already grappling with weak profits and global economic turmoil, 15 major banks were hit with credit downgrades on Thursday that could do more damage to their bottom lines and further unsettle equity markets. The credit agency, Moody's Investors Service, which warned banks in February that a downgrade was possible, cut the credit scores of banks to new lows to reflect new risks that the industry has encountered since the financial crisis."
