May 31, 2012 journal, God is spirit while man is flesh and will be spirit in the next world of heaven. God became flesh through Christ the Messiah coming to earth to be sacrificed for the redemption of sin. Man is still eating of forbidden fruit as did Adam & Eve in the garden. Sin is on every hand made attractive by Satan the enemy of our living soul/life. I am still living with the scripture "Absent from the body, present with the Lord" although I cannot verify that in the original Scripture text not being knowledgeable of Hebrew and Greek. If we are present with the Lord in body or spirit there would be no need for the resurrection. Christ was the first resurrection and has set the pattern although he raised the dead during his life on earth. Many were actually resurrected with them according to scripture. The Buddhist would say reincarnated. I have witnessed a man dying and then returning to life about 15 minutes later. Birth like death is a natural occurrence and both may be a painful experience. The Word of God is preserved for us and in those who are heaven bound I believe will have a full knowledge of Scripture with the gospel burning in their being. I believe the saints of God will be busy spreading the gospel full-time and if there is any thing we do not understand, we must have faith and pray for understanding. There are a thousand different doctrines of the Protestant Christian Church, the Catholic Church has fewer because they have kept it under their iron hand of Roman Catholicism. The rules become very tested at the time of death as to the purity of our lives & the truth. There is no need for commentary on the Bible as the Bible is most complete within itself. 6-"Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." 2 Corinthians 5-8. This is the scripture most Protestant doctrine is hinged on in teaching that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" but it really does not say that at all. It says we prefer. I heard the soul sleep doctrine first from Alan Campbell of Northern Ireland. There are a hundred different versions of Protestant doctrine but a majority believe this to be true. I believe the King James Version KJV is the most accurate of a hundred different translations of the Bible. Catholic Church members do not have the option in most cases. The apostle Paul says "We had rather be with the Lord" if we are absent from the body. If we spend our lives in frivolous things without taking our service to God seriously, where will we be in the judgment? Let us fear God and keep his commandments. 6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9 Why the name jesus? On the following video you will see Kenneth Copeland saying when he reads where Jesus said "I Am", he just smiles and says "I am to". See other despicable demonic messages in what has today turned out to be the modern mega charismatic Church while it is actually the Church of the Antichrist. This is my opinion from what I feel and see. May God help. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEAYtk8NnaU&feature=related
